When it come to getting Ryan something for his Birthday, I think I have already ran out of ideas! So I always like to get him something to do rather than use..
After seeing so many great reviews and recommendations from people I chose the Titanic Hotel in Liverpool, right on Stanley dock. It was a complete surprise for him, I booked it back in September so I was so excited for a long time! Ryan is from Liverpool and even he had no idea where we were when we arrived into the car park. You’d miss it if you didn’t know where you were heading.
The hotel is in an old warehouse on the docks, with stunning features and all the luxury you need! I booked a Superior room for a little bit of extra space, but to be honest we really didn’t need it! The room was beautiful, with a huge bed delicately furnished and decorated. The bathroom was to die for, with a wonderful bath that I am so sad I didn’t have time to try out! The room is on the dark side (no star wars reference) as there are no light fixtures in the ceiling, but it gave a lovely atmosphere. The corridors are huge and the whole place felt so spacious and relaxing.
We visiting the spa downstairs, unfortunately there were no treatments available, I let it way too late to book. But the Maya Blue Wellness thermal suite was just the relaxing start to the break we needed. It is on the pricey side at £25 each at peak times, but we really enjoyed it and would happily go again! We received soft towels, robes and slippers and spent around 2 hours in the wonderful spa.
We ate out of the hotel at CAU, one of our favourites and it was so easy to get into the centre by taxi. It was around 4/5 mins in an UBER and cost around £4. We came back to the hotel and enjoyed one or two cocktails, I was very happy to see my favourite Amaretto Sour on the menu.
I highly recommend staying here if you need a break away and I secretly hope Ryan plans to take us back there soon… wishful thinking hey! Only 3 weeks until our holiday to Cyprus and I cannot wait!
